Micro-dose Leuprolide

Information: Micro-dose Leuprolide is utilized by physicians in a similar manner to the Leuprolide 2-week Kit, but it is a variation with regards to dosing strength and timing of doses.   it is very important to follow the specific instructions from your fertility center to ensure you are compliant with the protocol you have been prescribed.

Storage/Handling

Store in refrigerator (DO NOT FREEZE).   Discard within 28 days of first use.

Common Side Effects/Comments:

Common side effects include local discomfort, bruising and soreness at the injection site; ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) (excessive fluid retention and severe abdominal discomfort), vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, breast tenderness, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, constipation, headache, weakness, and dizziness. There is potential for serious pulmonary conditions and thromboembolic events (difficulty breathing or chest tightness).

Contact the Physician Immediately

If the patient experiences an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, or hives); difficulty urinating, bone pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in the legs or arms. If the patient experiences symptoms of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) (excessive fluid retention and severe abdominal discomfort) or symptoms of pulmonary conditions and thromboembolic events (difficulty breathing or chest tightness).

If you miss a dose, contact your physician.
